US Blockchain Legislation

On July 27th, U.S. House Financial Services Committee passed five blockchain/digital assets bills, and on July 28th, Senator Elizabeth Warren proposed a bill before Congress heads into recess next week. What does that mean for the blockchain and digital assets ecosystem?

Global Blockchain Business Council (GBBC) and GBBC Digital Finance (GDF) have prepared a U.S. Policy Update – Before Recess, for educational purposes where we have consolidated all of our knowledge of the bills to date. The Update does not reflect any predictions, nor opinions on what bills will/will not pass into law.

This is a living document with information that we know to date, and will update as more information develops. Should you find any inaccuracies, please let us know at info@gbbcouncil.org
